CSI MISSION: BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES
Cornhusker State Industries (CSI) is building opportunities for incarcerated men and women through meaningful work trajectories that serve as a foundation for transformative change and successful community reintegration.
As a 100% self-supporting correctional industries program of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) CSI provides comprehensive training, education, and certification courses that equip individuals with the skills and confidence to successfully reenter their communities.
OUR VALUES: Individual Growth | Integrity | Engagement | Communication | Quality

TRANSFORM Nebraska is an integrated framework designed to comprehensively address the rehabilitation needs of individuals within the correctional system. By bringing together a wide range of rehabilitative services, programs, and initiatives under one cohesive umbrella, it incorporates multiple dimensions of rehabilitation, promoting personal growth, behavior change, and reentry success.
The 5-Key Model for Reentry and Well-being Development™ is a transformative, evidence-based approach to rehabilitation that recognizes the inherent strengths within each individual. It is designed to support personal growth and long-term success by addressing the key components of well-being that are critical for successful reintegration into the community.
While Cornhusker State Industries workers can develop in all five key areas while employed, the most significant focus is Meaningful Work Trajectories. Workers can earn certificates and receive specialized training while employed at CSI, which can potentially expand their post-release employment opportunities. They also apply lessons learned to engage positively and build relationships with co-workers and employers and apply healthy thought patterns to effectively cope with potentially stressful workplace situations.
