Teamwork in action at the Nebraska State Penitentiary

Over the past several weeks NDCS staff, contractors, and members of the incarcerated population have worked side by side to restore two housing units damaged in last month’s storm.

This week, a dedicated crew of incarcerated men rolled up their sleeves and helped repaint the units — bringing us one step closer to moving furniture back in and reopening the space.

Their hard work and pride in the project have made a real impact. A huge thank you to everyone who has stepped up to support the cleanup and recovery efforts. This is what collaboration looks like!
