Team members honored at annual awards ceremony

The NDCS annual awards ceremony recognized 38 team members for their achievements in leadership, customer and community service, mentorship, and more.
The Partnership Award was presented to Persevere, an organization that has brought technology education, life skills development, and wraparound support to the NDCS population.
Director Rob Jeffreys addressed team members from facilities across the state.
Assistant Director Diane Sabatka-Rine commends NDCS team members for their dedication to the NDCS mission to keep people safe.

Public safety depends on the work our corrections professionals do every day. 

Today, it was an honor to celebrate 38 outstanding NDCS team members whose leadership, service, and dedication made a powerful impact across Nebraska in 2025. Each honoree played a key role in keeping people safe and supporting rehabilitation and reentry.

A special highlight this year: the Partnership Award recognizing Persevere, whose tech‑education and reentry support programs are opening new pathways to stability, skills, and stronger communities.

We’re proud of the NDCS team — men and women committed to serving  Nebraska 24/7.
