The spaces we build shape the work we’re able to do. That’s why the new multi‑custody facility replacing the Nebraska State Penitentiary is being designed with rehabilitation in mind — from programming areas inside housing units to vocational spaces throughout the facility. NDCS is also repurposing existing areas to create more room for growth, learning, and reentry preparation.
