OCC: Buddhist Ceremony

Individuals at NDCS facilities have a variety of opportunities to exercise their religious beliefs, and spiritual growth can be an important part of rehabilitation.

At the Omaha Correctional Center (OCC), participants engaged in the Buddhist Refuge Ceremony, a spiritual event led by Rev. Daishin. This ceremony marks a significant commitment to take refuge in the three jewels of Buddhism: following the path of the Buddha, his teachings (Dharma), and the community of practitioners (Sangha).
