NCCW: SCC Real Talk Reentry

The Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW) and Southeast Community College (SCC) recently held a panel discussion, Real Talk Reentry: College, Transition, and Life Beyond Custody.

Panel members Jessica Whittaker, Taiana Matheny, and Tyjanae Allen discussed how SCC transformed their reentry journeys and lives. They shared their experiences and insights on expectations, hurdles and blind spots they’ve encountered, careers they landed after release, and their new perspectives on the other side of reentry.
