August 17, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O) is back in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). Michael Detty #213356 was arrested by the Lincoln Police Department.

Detty disappeared on August 7, 2023, when he left the facility. He started his sentence on June 16, 2021. He was sentenced to 4 years and 12 months to 5 years and 18 months for charges out of Clay County that include possession of a stolen firearm and theft by unlawful taking.

CCC-O is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
