February 14, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) has been arrested by the Omaha Police Department with new charges. Christopher Foster #212543 was taken into custody on February 10, 2023, and booked into the Douglas County Correctional Center.

Foster went missing on February 8, 2023, when he left the facility and removed his electronic monitor. He started his sentence on January 5, 2021. Foster was sentenced to four to six years for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person out of Douglas County. He has a tentative release date of August 15, 2023.

CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
