Missing inmate arrested 

August 18, 2025 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) has been arrested by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office. Alexander Gouge #213689 was taken into custody on August 17, 2025, and booked into the Dakota County Jail in Dakota City, Nebraska. 

Gouge went missing on August 14, 2025, when he did not return to CCC-L from a job seek furlough. He started his sentence on August 31, 2021. Gouge was sentenced to 10 to 15 years out of Lancaster County for refusing to submit to a test/5th offense.  

CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
