Missing inmate arrested
July 3, 2025 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) has been arrested by the Lincoln Police Department. Cherelle Stabler #393237 was taken into custody today and booked into the Lancaster County Jail.
Stabler went missing on June 10, 2025, when she did not return to the facility from a job seek furlough. She started her sentence on October 10, 2023. Stabler was sentenced to a total of three years and nine months to seven years and 18 months out of Lancaster County for possession with intent to deliver meth, criminal possession of two to three financial transaction devices, theft, and tampering with physical evidence.
CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
