In the Line of Duty Awards

The In the Line of Duty Award recognizes teammates who step forward with courage when it matters most. They acted without hesitation, placing themselves at risk to protect a fellow team member.

This year included two awards:

• Video Intelligence Analyst Mike O’Connell, Nebraska State Penitentiary
• The Tecumseh State Correctional Institution response team: Sue Baum, teacher; Seth Kaufmann, Peru State College Correctional officer intern; Olivia Moser, clinical program manager; Lisa Schmidt, office specialist; Bladen Weiner, Peru State College Correctional officer intern; and Nicole Zelinski, sergeant.
