September 2, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Obiomachuckuka Njokanma #392973 left the facility yesterday.
Njokanma started her sentence on September 22, 2022. She was sentenced to six to 10 years for first degree assault and terroristic threats. She has a tentative release date of May 7, 2026.
Njokanma is a 48-year-old Black female, 5’ 6”, 260 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
