The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) recently hosted an outing to the Joslyn Art Museum, where more than a dozen men from the Community Corrections Center–Omaha (CCC-O) had the opportunity to experience art and culture alongside community partners and volunteers.
The day included exploring galleries of contemporary art, enjoying live ballet performances, creating button art, grabbing snacks at the café and sharing a picnic lunch provided by AVP’s generous community partners and volunteers.
Experiences like these provide opportunities to build positive connections, explore new interests, and strengthen the relationships that help individuals successfully connect with their communities.
