June 25, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Martiniano Alcorta #218098, age 55, died today at a Lincoln hospital. He was incarcerated at the Reception and Treatment Center.
Alcorta’s sentence began on February 29, 2024. He was serving an 18-month sentence out of Hall County for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
While the cause of death has not yet been determined, Alcorta was being treated for a medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
