June 21, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Steven Tucker #55760, age 73, died June 20, 2024, at the Reception and Treatment Center.

Tucker’s sentence began on August 21, 2001. He was serving a 35 to 45 year sentence for manslaughter out of Lancaster County.

While the cause of death has not yet been determined, Tucker was being treated for a medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
