NDCS is proud to partner with the American Correctional Association (ACA), who has championed the cause of corrections and correctional effectiveness for the last 150 years.

This month, Deputy Director Elder accepted a re-accreditation certificate for Cornhusker State Industries (CSI) at ACA's 153rd Congress of Correction. 

The accreditation includes a series of reviews, evaluations, audits and hearings – all aimed to verify compliance with ACA’s national standards. These represent fundamental correctional practices, such as ensuring the safety of staff and the population, enhancing staff morale, and improving record maintenance and data management capabilities
