50 YEARS of service!  We’re celebrating an amazing teammate who has been with the State of Nebraska for half a century. 

Ginger Shurter, records manager II, is known for her kindness, fairness and determination. She has spent the majority of her 50-year career here at NDCS, and we’re certainly grateful for that!     

Ginger began her career with the State for its flexibility as she was raising a family, and today her daughter Michelle Fedon is a nurse practitioner at the Reception and Treatment Center. 

Michelle said of her mother,”She has a work ethic like no one else. She instilled in me that character and integrity are non-negotiable and two things a person should never sacrifice.”
