June 27, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Michael Thomas #216656, age 46, died Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was found unresponsive in his cell at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC). Staff members initiated CPR and contacted emergency medical services. Upon their arrival, he was pronounced deceased. The Nebraska State Patrol is conducting an investigation into his death.

June 26, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) was taken into custody today. Buay Chuol #213093 was arrested by the Lincoln Police Department and booked into the Lancaster County Jail.

Chuol disappeared on April 10, 2023, when he did not return to the facility after a job seek furlough. He started his sentence on April 26, 2021. He was sentenced to three to six years out of York...Read more

June 26, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Floyd Martin #68664, age 88, died yesterday at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC), where he was incarcerated.

Martin’s sentence began on November 6, 2008. He was serving a 35 to 40 year sentence for second degree sexual assault of a child out of Custer County.

June 20, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Bobby Wallace #79746, age 45, died Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was found unresponsive in his cell at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC). Staff members initiated CPR and contacted emergency medical services. Upon their arrival, he was pronounced deceased. The Nebraska State Patrol will handle the investigation into his death.

June 16, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – David Saxton #82585, age 54, died this morning at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC), where he was incarcerated.

Saxton’s sentence began on July 27, 2015. He was serving a 30 years to life sentence for second degree murder out of Lincoln County.

June 12, 2023 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) has been arrested by the Roseville, Michigan Police Department. Antonio Collier #87434 was taken into custody yesterday and booked into the Macomb County Jail in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

June 8, 2023 (Omaha, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O). Seth Horstman #71157 left his job in the community this morning and did not return to the facility. The electronic monitoring device he was wearing was found in the parking lot of his workplace.
