Corrections Month Virtual Race Results

NDCS staff members, family and friends just wrapped up the Corrections Month Virtual Race. Participants chose whether they wanted to compete in the 5K or the 10K. They had to finish their run in one day. Proof of completion times was recorded using an app.

The first-place winners received a $40 Walmart gift card and the second-place winners received a $30 Walmart gift card. The results are as follows:

1st place in the Women’s 5K was Berenice Mines, unit case manager at Community Corrections Center – Omaha.

1st place in the Women’s 10K was Agnes Stairs, psychologist at the Omaha Correctional Center. 2nd place was Toni Fowler, family member of Nadine Forgey of Central Office (CO).

1st place for both the Men’s 5K & 10K was Michael Tisdall, corporal at Tecumseh State Correctional Institution.

The oldest participant was Lyle Forgey, family member of Nadine Forgey of CO. The youngest participant was Gage Schlosser, family member of Madeline Schlosser of the Nebraska State Penitentiary.

Congratulations to all the winners of the Virtual Race and to everyone who competed hard and had a good time doing so. Let’s run it again next year!
