Information Systems Program

Responsibilities

The Information Systems Program is responsible for providing computer support to all NDCS staff, Cornhusker State Industries, and the staff and members of the Nebraska State Board of Parole. The NDCS network supports equipment and provides connectivity to the State’s Mainframe computer, the Nebraska Information System, the state’s centralized email system, and other information resources. The NDCS network also supports inmate use systems in the CSI shops, inmate educational programs and inmate law libraries.

Information Systems administers and manages the NDCS network, and assists NDCS staff to apply technology to meet business needs. The Information Systems staff installs, repairs, orders and replaces computer systems and peripherals, as well as develops and supports computer applications and maintains records of computer equipment and software.
